Toxic productivity means when you are constantly working, without giving yourself rest, and not giving your hobbies your time, whereas when we focus a little time on hobbies it makes us feel distressed.

Toxic productivity also leads us to burnout where we tend to procrastinate for things we do daily,

For example: texting back someone or cooking yourself a meal.


Signs we are facing toxic productivity :

  • Inability to turn off work and give time to hobbies, health and relationships.
  • Having guilt of not completing work, even when you have done some of the work-related tasks.
  • Having health or personal relationship problems.

The solutions to stop facing toxic productivity :
  • Stop setting unrealistic goals, and deadlines for work.
  • Give your mental health and your personal relationships time , no matter how busy your schedule is.
  • Meditate and clear your head.
  • Have some ( me time ) daily even if it's only 10 or 5 mins. Read my article on me time  
  • Set clear boundaries.
  • Don't rush the last minute on your work, plan strategically and execute it.
