YESTERDAY'S LEARNINGS - THE WAY OF LEARNING

I learned the following things mentioned below on 13/8/22 from the book SHOW YOUR WORK BY Austin Kleon.

Vampires :

  • After any activity, ask yourself if you feel more energized or less energized.
  • Cut off these energy vampires: the jobs, hobbies, people, and places that drain your energy.
  • Don't let following things given up take your energy
Turn Online friends into IRL friends :
  • Turn your online friends into In real friends by asking them to have a coffee with you because meeting people online is awesome, but turning them into IRL friends is even better - Try this!
Learn to take criticism :
  • Not everyone will love your work and that's completely fine.
  • We all are different and we all have different favs, and personalities.
  • If someone is giving a bad reaction take it as a suggestion and don't react badly ( control ).
  • Keep moving. Every piece of criticism is an opportunity for new work. You can’t control what sort of criticism you receive, but you can control how you react to it.

Some Amazing quotes I came across yesterday :

“Whatever excites you, go do it. Whatever drains you, stop doing it.”
                                                                                                        —Derek Sivers

“The trick is not caring what EVERYBODY thinks of you and just caring about what the RIGHT people think of you.”

                                                                                                      —Brian Michael Bendis

That's it for the today
